Central Coast Children of Parents with a Mental Illness (COPMI)
By empowering parents and improving knowledge and understanding within the family, the risks for children and young people can be reduced.
Central Coast Family Support Services has adopted a Children of Parents with a Mental Illness (COPMI) Framework. This guides our Model of Care (MOC) and has been developed to strengthen existing family supports provided by CCFSS to families impacted by mental illness.
Central Coast COPMI Advisory Committee
The Central Coast COPMI Advisory Committee was established to identify priority areas for service development to promote positive mental health in families on the Central Coast; particularly families impacted by parental mental ill health. The committee takes a strategic and systemic approach, with a particular focus on partnerships and inter-agency responses, and will use a place-based framework centred on local need.
