Central Coast Family Support Services COPMI

Central Coast Family Support Service has adopted a Children of Parents with a Mental Illness (COPMI) Framework which guides the model of care (MOC) and has been developed to strengthen existing family supports provided by CCFSS to families impacted by mental illness. The COPMI MOC is embedded in a prevention and early intervention framework which acknowledges that families impacted by parental mental illness have strengths as well as vulnerabilities, and that empowering parents and improving knowledge and understanding within the family will reduce the risks for children and young people.

Central Coast COPMI Advisory Committee

The Central Coast COPMI Advisory Committee was  established to identify priority areas for service development to promote positive mental health in families on the Central Coast, particularly families impacted by parental mental ill health. The committee takes a strategic and systemic approach, with a particular focus on partnerships and inter-agency responses, and will use a place-based framework centred on local need.

Meetings are hosted by Central Coast Family Support on monthly on the 4th Wednesday of the month from 1:30 – 3:30PM.
